Help needed

  2001 Clio
Hi, need some help with the stereo and clock.. So I removed the cigarette lighter ready for when I purchase a new one as it was grubby and hardly made contract with chargers. Afterwards I started the car up and noticed that the stereo and clock wasn't working. They was working fine previously? I've checked the fuses in passenger side and all fuses under the bonet and they're all fine so I'm stuck on what the problem could be? The car is a 2001 Clio 3door Dynamique. Cheers in advance

The fuse for the cigarette lighter , stereo and clock are the same fuse . Have you actually tried a new fuse or just a visual check ?

Have you tried plugging the cigarette lighter back in? Can't remember the diagram off the top of my head but it's possible that without it in the circuit then the circuit itself won't be complete and will stop the other things mentioned from working either

That was my only thought left. Haven't tried that as I broke the insides to the lighter dismantling it, won't be able to pick up a new one for a couple of days as I'm busy with work. I'll try it when I can, cheers for the suggestion

Sorted it out, the fuse for electric wing mirrors had blown so it was stopping everything working
