Help new on PC gaming

when i went in to play Battlefield 2, GameSpy was asking me to log in or make a new account, so when i filled in the details for a new account and pressed done it was loading the info so i waited and waited and it didnt budge so i went back and quit.

Do you have to make another account on GameSpy then?

also when i go into GameSpy on the desktop it says it's not working hmmm
