Help!!! Petrol Smell

Since last night, im getting a strong petrol smell coming through my air vents inside the motor, does anyone why this is happening?

I had a new clutch fitted the other week, could this be anything to do with it, as they could of ripped the fuel line or maybe even spilt some somewhere when they took the engine out?

nose poised sniff out that leak!

Ive sniffed it out, it seems to be coming from the top of the engine, and by the back where u can see the manifold.

Does anyone know wot it could be?

There are 3 pipes to the left of the manifold (looking from infront of the car) namely:-

1 fuel in

2 fuel out

3 vapour from tank

these travel from under the car up through the engine bay, and run alongside the left hand side of your engine to your fuel rail(we will forget about pipe 3 for the time being)

check these pipes first!

(then worry about pipe 3)

Am i guessing right that vapour from the tank, could mean a gasket problem?

Im hoping im wrong!!!

i had this problem and it turned out one of my fuel pipes was rubbing on the cam belt !!
