I have just had my wheels refurbed, and want to seal them before they go on. I heard great things about fk1000p. Is this the type of thing i need?

Id go with something a little more durable. I honestly dont think FK is THAT durable.

This TBH! G5 is very, very good stuff

Although FK will be fine but will require topping up once in a while

poorboys is almost light angel delight. Like a moose easy to apply and take off, needs topping up every 4 months though at least.

No, just de tar, de iron, clay and maybe, if necessary run a machine polisher over them.
