help please

my 182 cup over the last 2 weeks has developed a wering noise when i put my foot down it doesnt do it when im just pottering along at low revs but starts when i bring the revs up and gets louder as the revs go up i have also tried bringing the revs up when stationery and it doesnt do it then, the noise seems to come from the passenger front side of the car

anyone any ideas what it could be?

sounds like a whiney gearbox... but I am not experienced enough with clios to tell you exactly why
