my 172 rear axle is bent and ive seen an axle on ebay off a 182 04 plate, will it fit my car its a 172 02 plate

It will fit, the 182 rear axles are slightly different, they are strengthened at the bottom of the spring area and have a slightly thicker rear roll bar.
