help please

hiya all! my clio had a leak (same place as they all leak FRED informs me) and that i have read - from the bolts on the top of the head! reno looked at this when under warrenty about a year and a half a go!! so approx 5k ago!

would they have changed both belts?!! :S as the belt i can see looks pretty new!? just a thought as my car is coming up for a belt change towards the middle of next year?!

For peace of mind i might just get it done (just wondered what peoples thoughts would be)

i know they replaced the alternator! but im sure they would have changed the belts or just one - with it being under warrenty and sunwin reno they didnt like to tell me much

would you have them changed again?!

If they've had the head off to sort the leak, I'd imagine they replaced the cambelt. Possibly won't have done aux belt, and definatly not the tensioner

hat's way too cheap! wouldn't let them touch it, its a BIG job to reseal the rocker cover

the proper way invovles new cambelt kit also, so make sure they change it, and ASK IF THEY HAVE THE SPECIAL RENAULT CAM LOCKING TOOLS FOR THE JOB - if they don't walk away

(if its a renault dealer then you'll be fine)

Hmm, if it was the cam carrier leaking, they SHOULD have replaced the belts, to reseal it you have to remove it, including removing the cams and cambelt.

If you have no proof they have been done, get them done again. Not worth the hassle dude, ony £400-£500 for both kits fitted inc vat.

Well, they SHOULD have done, but you can put the old belt back (no no). if you dont have 100% proof they did it! take it as a no!

i guess i could ask for proof but when i tried to ask at the time they didnt really want to say!

i guess like you say might as well get a stap and know its been done! even though it might be a bit over kill!!!!!

If the book isnt stamped, you have no paperwork to say it was done, yes get it changed
