help - remove 172 handbrake surround

Hello, anyone out there know howto remove the handbrake surround bit of the Mk2 172???? I need a bit more room to work, and so I need this taken off for a little while, anyone?

I would also like to know this cause my TV HU requires a cable to go to the handbrake switch, although I have shorted it so that it thinks the handbrake is on all the time just now ..

Roamer, I was thinking of wiring it up correctly so that if mr plod pulled me he couldnt do me for watching tv or playing a game etc.. cause I could point out the handbrake would have had to be on.

Then again I dont really give a sh*t what mr plod thinks cause he would have a hard time proving it wasnt sat nav or just the radio etc.

there are 2 t26 torx screws in the surround put the seat right forward to undo the back screws lift
