Help required - making a music slide show

Im wanting to make a picture slide show of our new baby as a present for my girlfriend and dont know how. Its going to have about 40 pictures and a music background and i want to be able to download it onto You Tube.

Can anyone with any knowledge of doing this help me out - do i need some software and if so were from ??

You could make a video with Windows movie maker quite easily fella like that.

I used to use a specific bit of software to put them on a DVD that was quite simple to use. I'll see if i can remember what it was.

How about doing it on Microsoft Powerpoint and then save it as a .ppsx ??
