Help speaker

  Clio's
I was amping my front speakers before and i think 2 wires may have touched each other, this caused a loud noise, and now when i play music 1 of my speakers makes a very high pitched wine!! anyone know why this is?
thanks

the sound is constant! it was the wires coming from the amp that were going to the drivers door speaker. it is the passenger door speaker that is making the noise!

k just start basics, have you tried the speaker again unamped or tried the speaker from the passengers side?if so does the sound still continue?also try the speaker making the high pitched noise on the passenger side wiring see if it does,we can start to narrow it down then, if the high pitch changes to the passenger side then you know its your speaker,if it doesnt either the amp or wiring

Just tried the speaker in the drivers door and it works fine so im guessing its either the wiring or the amp then?

But, the speaker was working before the ither wires touched so the wiring was fine. and the subs are still working through the amp!

may be the case but you may have shorted the specific channel that speaker is connected to and the others will work fine thats why i said swap the speakers to see if the same happens or whether it switches sides but im 99% it will stay the same side and be a problem with the channel on the amp

just noticed you had put 2 posts...more than likely the amp mate
its getting too late today for me to think straight

Whine is most likely alternator whine caused by a ground loop, usually by grounding your amp poorly. Make sure the amp is earthed at a good chassis point, paint fully scratched off so there is a perfect contact.
