Help!!! Start up problems?

:S Occasionally when I start my 172 up, normally from cold, it fires up but the 'heart beat' symbol stays on in the dash and the revs fluctuate between 2,000 and 3,000? I turn the car off and start it up again and it works perfectly? Anybody had the same problem?

Sounds like a sensors gone somewhere!

Could be the TDC sensor or even coilpacks mate! you would need to get it on the diagnostics machine!
