HELP Steering rack pinion alignment.

Help required, I have a quick rack fitted to my 182, like a complete idiot I’ve pulled the pinion housing off the rack to change bearing & forgot to mark its position I’ve had the rack on & off 3 times today moving it round 1 tooth each time & it still isn’t correct, is there a way of getting it in right place please?

Removing the steering column lower joint splines. The quick racks have not been designed to be the same as oem.

A bit of heat and a rubber mallet should do it to not damage the column.
