Help!! Throttle bodies!!

  Clio Trophy 463
Hi all,

Following on from the threads about the 1.4 RT engines and tuning availible for them..I rushed down to my local scrappy and bought a laguna 1.8 throttle body. Great I thought...should be easy to fit.... will go nicely with a gas flowed head and meggy bottom end. hmmm.

On closer inspection of my engine bay I noticed my engine is the 2 bolt fixing on the throttle body, so all of the plugs which go into the throttle body are different...as are the tubes on the inlet manifold.

What is my best option...is it possible to change all the plugs?? or do I have to switch the looms over?

Any help you guys can give would be much appriciated!!
Dan

Its not going to be just the plugs and sensor you will need to change. The engine management system complete is different from the system used with the three bolt air filter fixing that is fitted to most of the 1.4 clios, which is the system used on the single point laguna which I presume is the one you bought. To use the throttle body you have bought you will also need. !.4 Clio inlet manifold (to bore out for the laguna body) which is for a three bolt throttle body, ECU and engine wiring loom. Plus some other ods and sods.

Yes. If you go for the larger dia throttle the engine will need remapping to correct the fueling (and help improve the torque and power) to the additionl air intake.

Nick...

Is there any engine I can swap with my 2 bolt throttle body for more power?? It would be much much easier if there was one which would just plug in!!!

Cheers
Dan
