Help! Tom Tom Cameras

Car  A Beautiful R32
Hi all, just put the Tom Tom cameras on to my Tom Tom that someone posted yesterday (Robbie I think). They've come up properly BUT for some reason it is NOT displaying they correct little POI signs. Instead of cameras its just got little red squares, I don't understand why as I've installed the proper jpeg files with the 0v2 files. HHHEEEELLLLPPP!!

Thats how they are mate, you've do it right you just can change the sign. I perfer the red squares.. they stand out more.

Have you changed the settings so it warns you when your near them?

The mrs just said they stand out more when red. Yep put different noises in for different cameras, the specs ones are bloody loud, lol.

I just asked because the old cameras I had on it were little camera pictures... ;)

Yeah, when you PAY for them they have a camera symbol...;)

I can help a bit Karen.. Not a geek though. lol

lol well basic stuff...

why does the manual not go through a step by step set up...
why does the installation poster not have any text and doesn't explain all the steps...
what is the product card and what do I have to activate with it and how...
where do I stick the SD card...
oh and the Mac isnt recognising it...

PMSL!! Eeerrm... So it not just the cameras.. your starting from scratch?

You need to activate the unit by going on WWW.TTCODE.COM It will ask for the number one the product card and the Device Code (unit will display this when you turn it on)

The SD card should go in a slot on the front of the unit.

It supports mac so shouldn't be a problem, you might need to activate it first before you can connect it to you mac.

Yes lol - its not showing a device code - just a pic of a pc... and why doesnt the manual tell you to activate it :S crappy bloody manual.

TomTom Home on the Mac has crashed 3 times.

Make that 4 times...

It should only show the pic of the pc when its connected to the pc/mac.

Sounds like the unit has crashed.. Under the unit should be a small reset button, you'll need a safety pin or something, give it a press.

Activate it before you try to connect it to the mac again.

Ok just crashed again, then the screen came on but I take it it shouldn't be in Portuguese either :S

This is why I always set them up for my customers... lol

Which one did you buy?

it's the 510!

The TT screen is displaying this (maybe it's not Portuguese?)

Deseja ligar-se a'Computador
and I can choose either nao or sim

but I need to get the bloody thing in English...

Rough translation.. 'It desires to league Computer to it'
Say No.. Nao
