HELP wheel depth

hey peopl still stuck on this one , looking at set of 17's for my 172 and worried are they going to fit they are 7by17 4by100 et 40 , will they rub they got 205/40/17 fitted , willi have any problems with then or shouldi get them in a 16 in sted with the same set up jsut the inch smaler , can some one help me out please not go long let to deside what to get ..........

I think you should get 16s mate. IMO 17s only look good on a car which has been designed for them

17" alloys with 205/40/17s are fine i have them on mine but a 215/40/17 tyre may rub

As long as you get something like an ET37 offset a 205.40.17 you'll be fine. Personally I'd stick with 16's either with a 195.45.16 or preferably a 205.45.16 tyre as they're a much better drive.

the et is 40 is that still going to be ok , will it still hadle well or hand bad on 17's is there any thing els it will affect ?
