Need some help.

My laptop has all of a sudden decided it won't charge?!
It is plugged in, acknowledges this but won't charge it up :S

Any ideas?
Just gonna check when I bought it, might still be under warranty...

Most probably the battery has died. Does it recognise there's a battery in it? Sometimes just taking it out and putting it back in fixes it as the connections seem to lose contact.

Do you have it plugged into the mains a lot? If the battery is in and the laptop is plugged into the mains during use it'll ruin the battery big time.

Yeah, it works unplugged too.
Seems to be charging now.

2 weeks out of warranty, typical.

Gally, erm, yeah pretty much into the mains all the time! Didnt realise that! Can it be saved?!
Should I charge it up, then run it down everytime unplugged from the mains?

It's good to cycle the battery a few times now and again, but it's not a requirement.
