Help with fog lights please

i have just got some fog lights but not sure which is going to be the best way to wire them up

i have the cable that connects the to fog lights uptogher but no cable to go inside the car

its a mk2 1998

any one got any advice please

Without getting a new stalk and loom, just hard wire it into the small ring light around the cigarette lighter and put in a switch somewhere so that it only comes on with the lights and it can be turned on/ off at will

thanks for your advice m8, i have a small switch that i use for my little neons in the footwells that runs off the power from the cigarette lighter how would i run cables to the fog lights from inside the car. Also what connectors would i need or should i just cut the cables and use cable blocks. What power do the fog lights need?

also i can get a new stalk on ebay for £9 inc postage. how hard would it be to fit the stalk and get it wired up?

Woooah!

2 x 55w bulbs draw nearly 10 amps, the lighter socket illumination lamp is rated at 2.2w thats .2 of an amp. so the wiring wont be able to cope with that.

Best to use a relay and wire them so they only come on when the sidelights are on and the ignition is live. You can buy a wiring kit with the relay and instructions from, dare I say it, Halfords.
