help with insurance please.

need some advice for insuring a 172. i will be 18 and hopefully 1ncb. just been looking around and cheapest was 3k. havent tried any modified car insurance speaclists yet werent sure if they are going to be worth a try.

The age doesnt help, Its a pain in the ass.

Im going to try and get quotes after my birthday.

I will be 19, 1 years driving, 0 years ncb. I might try for 3rd party.

But i think i will have to wait and get some ncb under my belt. Maybe on a 1.6 be it a golf or something else etc.

yea i have been thinking about 1.6 clio instead but the pull of a 172 is to strong, but i could get a 1.6 then get a 182 after another year.

If i could pay £1800 for a sport insurance, Its a lot but i would

Realisticly i think they will want around £2500-3000.

Need to get a year or twos NCB sadly.

Might get a project car with a low engine and mod that to keep me happy.

+1 19 being 19 makes a big difference to insurance prices. Maybe its because it often goes hand in hand with 2 years driving experience and coming off your 2 years probation thing.

106 GTI and Saxo VTS a good call for that mate. Not a huge difference in pace either.
