help with my question(s)??

Hi All, I have recently joined the website, the main reason being i want to take my car on a couple of track days. I need to know a couple of things though, so apologies if i am just being thick....

1) How much on average do the track days cost to take part in?
2) I presume normal insurance doesnt cover you?

please help!

Welcome to the club!

1, It all depends on the location (track or airfield) and which company is running the event. If you set aside say £100 for the actual track day cost/fee you wouldn't be far wrong. Obviously you have fuel, tyres etc on top.

2, Nope. Normal insurance will specifically state it will not cover you for "track days, sprints, time trials etc.." Or something to that extent anyway.

Renaultsport organise them (see the website) for £150 per day open pitlane. On top of that, think of tyre wear, brake wear (both of which can disappear if your out all day and give it hell) and that you'll use at least a tank of petrol (at least i did) just on track, not including traveling there or Helmet hire if you dont have one.

Otherwise someone like easy track are around £200, depending on the track as an airfield day will be a lot cheaper than say Donnington or Brands

So you require a helmet also then when on the track day? Sorry, as I say I have never been on a track day and do not know anyone who has! That doesnt seem too bad then. Have they announced when all the dates for the track days are just yet?

End of next week i think jeremy said for the RS days and yes Helmets are a requirement on organised trackdays

look in the good roads n track day section for dates etc

you can rent a helmet from the track owners for about £10 u need one to go on

oh yea, its quick, but i just dont know how much Bhp my car has, unless i take it on a rolling road.... so any guess figures?
