help with pictures

hi i need some help with uploading pictures, i havnt really got a clue with computers.

when i right click on a picture and select cut and then right click in the area where i want it it does not give me the option to paste (its not highlighted in bold, its sort of faint) this is how i used to show pictures on another forum and i dont think im doing anything differently. ive also tried clicking on that paperclip thingy and uploading from there but it says my file at 1.39mb is too big for the 512kb limit, so how do i make a picture smaller than the 512kb limit, please help its making my head hurt

resize the pic then do it...

Or, highlight the pics you want re-sizing, right-click, send to mail recipient. They'll then appear in an email and you can just save them from there
