Help with starting problems

  Renault meggy
Ok so I've had this problem for about 6 months now but it's really starting to piss me off.

I have a Clio 1.2 Expression 2003 QS5 and it sometimes decides it does not want to start.
I get the middle amber light with the graph with curly wire underneath turn on and the red engine light next to it flashes.
When this happens my car will not start. the engine tried so start but it just won't.

I have come to the conclusion that it only happens when I drive somewhere, go do something for under 45 minutes and then try to start my car again.
If I leave it for longer it always starts. It also always starts in the morning and when I've been to uni so I know it's only when I go to the shops ect...

I don't want to spend too much on it because I havn't got the money and I have already spend a stupid amount on the POS.

Any help very welcome.
Thanks,
Hixxey

IIRC its a common fault on the 1.2's. Happened to mine, took it to renault and they sorted it. Cant remember what it was exactly though

The yellow light means its an electrical fault. Could be the coil pack, but we are really clutching at straws.

You need to visit a garge and get a reading from your ECU.
