Help with window regulator

Basically the nearside window regulator in my 172 broke...the plastic clip that holds the window snapped completely...so I got a new one. The plug on the ph2 is round but on the regulator it is square, just like ph1s. However it comes with an adaptor, so you cut the old plug off, re-wire to the adaptor...done.

However the window regulator won't work. No sound or anything, no matter what way round we do the wiring. Drivers window works still so can't be the fuse can it?

Any ideas?

could well be! Check it anyway - had the same prob on my old colt and it was the fuse

Put the old regulator back in, bond the reg to the window, take the new one back and get a refund.

Fixed. Joined the wires together again and it worked this time. Weird!
