what do i need to buy so connect my pc to my tele, so i can press play on my pc to watch a film but i comes out on my tele, i was told there called mice things?? i cant get a lead to connect coz i just have a old school 32 inch panasonic tele.

  ClioIII 138 S
My tele has a connector which transfers it to pc, also a seperate channel built in tele for PC. But i got a 21" LCD ... (came with connector)

yea mine has no connector, so i need somthing that plugs into the tele then into the pc and sends the data via bluetooth or sumthing.

ok thanks alot, i was told that the picture quality would be s**t as its not a lcd tv?????? is this right?

basically text thats on screen is crap on a tele so u wouldnt want to use word , excel etc. But playing movies comes through the tv great ive done it for years now for same reason as i allways have avi`s i want to play on tele as thats in me bedroom

oh right, i may just do that then, and get a tv card for the pc so i can get freevciew on it via nero then run it from pc to main tele and bedroom tele. so films and games would be fine? just text looks cack.

never really play on games , films are fine mine comes out of pc n goes into tele through a scart lead , but i also run 2 sound cards , one runs to tv so media player etc doesnt get mp3 or window sounds coming through tv. second sound card goes through hi fi for windows sounds and mp3s .

for some reason text looks blurry , on static images , ye ive also done the digital reciever card too, providing you buy a decent one hapuage etc itll be fine.

Just get yourself a computer and stick XP MCE on it. Or stick XP MCE on your current one.

Imo Media Center is the best software M$ have ever made. It's fantastic.

You will need a TV card still, but it will combine all your TV, DVD and movie files into one package. Look at the M$ website for info on MC.

graphics cards will be there (one with tv out)

http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?TabID=1&ModuleNo=1215&doy=25m2
to split the soundcard output so u have one to tv n one to current speakers

http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=31700&criteria=3.5 phono&doy=25m2
to get the normal lead to a phono connection

you should get a single yellow phono lead with the grafix card, u can always use male to female phonos for extention if needed.

now u can connect them to tv if u have phono connections but there usually on front or side of tv , so if thats not suited to u, get
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=11961&criteria=phono scart&doy=25m2

that will make the 3 connections to a scart. thats all you need i think

just went to macro and they made me buy a scart to 3phono lead, will this work? where do i plug the stuff in?

lol, do you have a composite out on your graphics card?

It will be a little plug with a yellow bit in the middle. Plug one end in there and the other end in the yellow plug on the scart.

the red and white are for sound.

because the fella said all i needed was this, i did pick all the above up. please tell me i dont have to go back there?

i dont totally understand?

do you have anything that says S-Video ? (it will be a yellow socket)

look under your system hardware properties

right click my computer > Properties > Hardware > Hardware Properities

then look under the tab which says Video or graphics.

Doesnt look like you can do it then bud. Unless you took it out of the VGA (monitor cable) and you would need another box of tricks to do that.

If your graphics card is a ATI Radion 200 I cant find much about it on the net becuase its an old card. I think you probably have onboard graphics so hmmm yep.

You can always take the cable back to the shop.

right u can use a scart to 3 phono`s proving its either a switched unit (in/out) or is a scart input one but u`ll neet to use some of these to join with rest

http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=29732&criteria=phono coupler&doy=26m2

that will enable you to join 2 male phonos together usually the video output from card will have a single yellow male phono cable.

http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=34196&criteria=3.5 phono&doy=26m2

that would allow the scart to phono to plug into pc

well tbh my pc is 2-3 years old and has out put to tv, and my older computer with a voodoo graphics card has a tv out,

on the back of yer graphics card is there either of these sockets

http://specialtech.co.uk/spshop/files/master/scart_adaptor_plug.jpg

one of the phonos prolly yellow and the one to left of yellow
