help :( !

  Italian 3.2 V6
hi,

need advise on what to do about suspension, now i dont wna to spend much at all tbh, hence y im not to fussed on how good they actually are for cornering, i dont want any race gear etc since i only have a 2004 1.4 16v Clio and think it actually handles its self well on b roads apart from some body-roll, so i mainly just want the drop of 60mm, so i would think sport srpings would do the job wouldnt they? surely they cant make the handling any worse? just improve it by less body roll dont they? even if it isnt impoved majorly..? i dont no so i need your help here!!

dno if it helps but i am curently looking at getting either 15" oz ultraleggras or 16" 172 alloys. with 15-20mm spacers.

thanks. piers.

You can get a 60mm spring kit from k-tec, they recommend you have shocks to match as they can bottom out and wear faster but a few people on here have just done springs, should be fine so longs as you dont take it rallying :)

i dropped my clio on 15s with 60mm springs and kept the standard shocks. never had any problems as long as the shocks are in good condition there shouldnt be a problem.

ok cool thanks, i noticed the apex kit wish shocks and springs tht drop it 60mm, i guess they would still improve the handling abit and isnt too pricey i dont think. but whats the "58mm lower shock absorber spacing"?? i dont no if i have that? i have a 54plate clio 1.4 16v any1 no if they would fit my car??

thanks

if you look at your standard shocks mate that are on the car there are two holes that bolt near the disc or wishbone whatever it is, but basically its the distance between these two holes that have bolts going through them.

Depends on loads of factors and what your happy to accept though

Regards what I'd recomend either spend a lot or don't bother stock is better than most uprated stuff unless you only care about ride height
