Car  172 CUP SOON..
Hi, I am fairly new to the clio world. Have a 106GTI at the moment and wish I'd saved a bit more to get a 172.

I am going to buy a 172 but am unsure as to whether or not it is worth sacrificing the nicer interior of a 172 in order to get a 172 cup???

Is it worth having a 172 cup or not???

Cheers.

hmmm depends what you want really. Its not just the interior you lose, you also lose things like spare tyre, xenon lights, i think maybe AC as well??? All to make it slightly nippier on the track, which then all goes out the window when you have your mate in the car lol. I would say the 172 cup is more of an enthusiasts car...

Welcome to CS mate. As said above really it is all about preference, for a car that is slightly quicker than the normal u are losing out on some of the home comforts! You just got to compare the specs and see what you would prefer to have!

they are fun cars - suppose you could always chnage the cup interior for a alcantara/leather one?

Cheers for the help guys, is the suspension on a cup better than that on a standard 172? Am really struggling here!!

Emailed a few garages last night about trading in my 106 and got some really poor offers back so it may be a while....!!

its worth it for the disapointed look on my sisters face when she's slower then me in her 182 cup lol

Reet then looking more like a cup here guys, cheers for the help.

Long shot but if you know of anyone wanting a 2002 106 GTI in Indigo Blue, please point them in my direction. It has 73,000 miles on, lowered and Magnex back box. TA!
