Help!

Right just bought a new clio the other day from a garage, was fine when i test drove it, fine when i brought it back, then the next day everything goes wrong! The cat is going because i can smell egg out the exhaust, the engine mounts have gone because the whole engine just wobbles to f**k. The engine management lights keeps flashing on and off, but thing is the perfromance has completely dropped! Its a 1.6 and it doesn't even feel like a 1.2! So could anyone tell me what it could be? I'm taking it back to the garage monday as i have 1 months warrantee, but just want an idea of what it probably could be.

Id take a guess that the cat is goosed and has been for a while and also the lambda before the cat is done causing overfueling and a missfire the shuddering is down to car running three cylinders also why its lost power

Ah right ok thanks alot was hoping it wouldn't be anything more than that . Do they check the cat on mot's? Because i had an advisory on my 1st car that it would need a new one in about years time, whereas the garage i bought this car from gave it an mot before i bought it and it had no advisories, i'm guessing they just passed it so it wouldn't cost them to fix.

Only on emmissions theyl tell if its straying towards the upper limits. Ur probably right tester has been told too overlook it more than likely too keep costs down

Ah well atleast ive got a warrantee with it and its getting fixed
