Help

I have a 2003 Renault Clilo 1.2, everytime i am at the lights or waiting in traffic etc, it seems to be "coughing" and the gear knob shakes and the revs drop and then rise randomly. Just need some help on what anyone here thinks it is and am i doing damage by still driving the car.

my 1995 clio rt did this so i sent it in and was told it was fault codes in the ecu and the company deleted them and it was fine, it did show signs of coming back but it sorted itself out, it was expensive only about £60 i think

Sounds like either ECU, or lack of fuel
