yea it can be its not too bad when i first start it up, any ideas of the cause?

My 172 did it for several months before the release bearing finally collapsed ( it had done 100K and in a 172 thats good going ).
If you have a 172 then start saving ( £400+ fitted ) ! As i see you have a 1.2 i doubt its too big an issue....

My 197cup just had a new clutch and she only had 29,000 on the clock.... claimed under warranty but it would of cost £1200 according to Renault Cardif....

did you have the same problem, cause if its a new clutch i am screwed thats a lot of $$, although guessing yours is a sports clutch, mines only a 1.2

I only had the car a few months when it started slipping ...... cost wise i think it was labour more than anything cos the clutch os a nightmre job on the 197 pretty much engine gearbox out job...... not too sure bout the 1.2 i had a 1.2 and i never had a days problem with her had her lowered full body kit se was a dream......... hoping my 197 will be the same....

there are great little cars and its not a problem the car still works fine, its an annoying sounds, and wondered if its going to lead onto a bigger problem :/
