hello, im thinking of getting a 172 just wondered if anyone could give me some decent info on how they drive and any common faults. thank you.

No real faults (Other than bonnet catches on ph1's:S) drive like a dream, great on the B roads. I have had my 182 for 3 years now and im still not bored of the 4k kick it has!
