High Mileage?

  RenaultSport clio 182
Just changed jobs and am going to have to do serious miles in my 182. Anyone know how many miles Renault's 2 litre engine is good for? I'm guessing I can't expect it to go on for ever and will eventually have to get rid once it's tired :(

Depends how you drive it really. Are they going to be motorway miles or round town etc? Things like that can vary so much imo

  AMV8, Mk1 Golf
mines a 3o mile round trip to work n back everyday, treat it nice do oil changes etc should be reet

The 172/182 engine are evolutions of the WIlliams engines and some of them have been over 200k. There one said to be on 300k. SInce the 172 has a engine which is an evolutin is should have any milage problems sorted out.

Yoz's old engine had 80k on it before the bottom end blew up but that was 80k of track milage.

There loads of UK registered WIlliams with over 100k.

I do about 750 miles per week in my 182.

Obviously it's not as comfy as a Vectra... but it's not too bad TBH.

I'm about to hit 52k next week, and it's still going strong.

  182, SRT8, RS4, GT-R
Avg 800 miles a week and no problems whatsoever even in harsh conditions such as Dubai

used to do 600 miles fast a road a week no problem in mine. just let it warm up for 15 mins, regular oil changes say every 6k regular servicing etc and adhere to belt change intervals etc

aparenttly so im told the worst thing you can do to an engine is sitting at a constant RPM for a long time, just a bit of usless information there.
