High pitch noise from engine bay and dead battery

  Renault clio 1.5mk3
Hi guys. I have a 1.5 dci clio and have been having problems over rhe last few weeks.
First the car died. 2 weeks ago the battery was dead so jumped it. Then died again and battery was flat again a day later. Went outaide to check the car and heard a high pitch electrical noise coming from the engine bay. Upon closer inspection the noise seems to be coming from the egr valve or just under it. Thought it was a faulty battery so got a new one before i heard the noise so got a new one. Was fine for a few days then started cutting out again. The noise from the engine bay hasn't stopped. I took off the egr and cleaned it well and the noise went for a couple days. The car then died again and a injector fault warning came up on the dash. Then went away. No codes on the code reader and the humming noise has continued. Tonight my new battery was flat again. I think this humming noise is draining my battery. Any ideas. Also a clicking noise coming from the black box to the right of the battery. Thanks

Oh yeah ive done that already. When its runnig battery voltage is like 14.7
Anywhere between 14.5 and 14.7 usually aye

Stick the lights on and it should drop to about 13.5 iirc. You say a squealing near the EGR... well under the EGR and inlet J tube that's where the turbo is 😂

It happens when the car is off. For example. The car was off for 4 hours. I go outside and the noise is still present.

Throttle bodies and headlight adjusters tend to make a high pitch noise on 182s. Anything same on the dci?

Nah

@Olliebeal just swap your ECU relay and the heated screen relay around. My sisters MK3 used to keep the ECU energised with the key off because the relay was fucked, never drained the battery because she was always driving luckily. One day I borrowed it and wondered why the boost solenoid was still humming after 45 mins 😂 I've got a spare fusebox for one here too if you need that

This isnt a video but the noise comes from the egr in the first picture and a clicking in the black box on the second

The humming will stop with the key out. The relay is stuck on rather than clicking off so the EGR will still be getting power with the key off
Ive got into the fuse box. This connector is loose with no where for it to go what relay is it

Aye that's normal I'm sure they just made 1 loom for every K9K MK3

You want to pull out those black relays until you stop hearing the buzzing noise from the EGR then replace the one that's buggered mate
