High pitch sound

i have a mk1 1.2 8v, and when the engine is cold theres a high pitch sound coming from it, squeeling like noise, it only happens at low rpm and i think its coming from the belt thats on the alternator (dont know what its called). Is this is a major problem and should i get it replaced asap, or is it a normal thing? thanks

Probably a worn belt mate I would just replace it tbh! Cant be that much to replace... I know you can get a spray which is for squeeling belts dont know what its called or how good it is though.
