Higher Pressure in Rear Tyres

This is the advice I have been given by Vredestein to increase the sidewall stiffness of my Sport Trac 2 tyres to improve stability.

2.3 front & 2.5 back.

What do you reckon?

In our VW it was the case that the rear pressures were higher than the front, but i think im rihgt in saying that clios are a bit special in that as they are so light you need more pressure at the front for the weight of the engine, than you need at the back.

Yup, if you like to look out the rear window when driving lol.

It wont be too bad as long as you dont g bonkers, but its really not needed.

What do you recommend then Ben?

Grip has improved immensely but I have noticed that the car wobbles on its axis coming out of bends or when you lift off the throttle or make quick steering inputs or brake hard. The back end moves from side to side before settling.

I was also told that the rear tyres take longer to wear in than the fronts, but I have done about 1000 miles since fitting.

i would run the rears at the same pressure as the fronts or slightly lower. The 172 has always had a squiggly rear end under braking.
