i mean is it £50 well spent? im fitting a cda soon and i thought this might be needed but...

I have a proper Mocal , black 90degree bend I used for 2 weeks on my car. Its cut to exactly the right dimension to fit a CDA. The only thing is that it doesnt have a breather pipe connection and youd need to separately connect the breather pipe to a small piper cranckase filter (about 2" diameter).

You can have my Mocal elbow for £10.

Seeing as the standard pipework reduces in diameter, then Id say this Hill Power (or Samco, etc...) replacement pipe is a good idea, as it will allow more airflow!

its just teh same as a turbo inlet pipe except the replacement ones on the 1.8t are alloy or carbon fibre

find it hard to believe sometimes that people are willing to spend between £160 and £250 quid on a cda or viper but overlook replacing the crap renault rubber pipe that changes from 70mm to 63mm and is not smoothed internally, surely its a must, its £43 for members as well

Yeah I fitted one to my mates mk1 172 for him, the standard pipe is sh*te.

AHEM its just a turbo to airfilter pipe off of a gtt, k tec sell them for 30 quid i think it is.... in blue samco with breather take off...



if not tell me what the internal diam is, and what the internal diam is for the breather and i will get u a price, u want sfs, samco or pipercross hose (in there fetching tigerprint hose )

Think the diameter is too small.

Remember I have an R5 GT Turbo as well, so I can check...

got the silicon elbow when i bought the hillpower ik kit.its a lot fatter than the original so would seem to be a good idea.

Ive got the Hillpower pipe in Blue. Looks mint and it feels like it has a bit more torque as well, especially from 4k rpm upwards. The kick at 5k rmp feels a bit more pronounced also.
