Hillpower Ind Kit

Anyone got a hillpower induction kit on a cup and is it any good (power gains) & how much are they cos they dont have prices on the website?????

the kit is £235.i think it made a improvement and it sounds good as well.the only trouble i had was the air scoop because it didnt fit where they say to put it.i found another place for it though so panic over.all in all though im happy with it.if you e-mail them they will send you a complete price list.

Jay, have you altered your ECU at all?? Will just having the induction kit harm the engine long term ( running lean??)

I got one couple of weeks ago, although there was a bit of mix up and Nick sent me a mk2 IK instead of mk 1,only difference is the air feed position,im getting new bits tommorrow.I have it on just now using the standard air feeds.Dont know about power increases have to wait till i get it on rollers. Although i think it works better with Grp N ecu, which im getting tommorrow. As for the noise,i cant hear it as ive got a Supersprint 70mm race system so i cant hear f all above the sound of that.

You may think the price is a bit steep but you get the silicone intake hose with it and its really well put together. So i think its worth it.

running standard ecu at the moment but im going to get the group n ecu when i get the inlet manifold from hillpower.the standard ecu can just about cope with the ik kit ok.

cupcoll

the kit is £223 with cliosport members discount, thats supply only inc vat but not inclusive of postage

Think website said that independent tests showed 4bhp with std ecu but with the group-n ecu fitted it showed large bhp at max and a very good torque increase throughout the rev range with good gains below 4k

as bigdave says above, the price includes new air intake pipe to replace the std item

that air scoop is w**k to fit though.thats the only part of the kit that i was not happy with.

soz, i meant the pipe that connects the filter to the engine, not the under bumper air scoop,

you mean the silicon hose.that seems a good idea because it is a lot fatter than the original hose.

jay, have you still got the HP IK fitted ? Was wondering - Will the kit house a K&N cone filter as opposed to the foam one that HP provide ? Where does the neck of the filter attatch to within the heatshield ?

Also have you got Inlet M & ECU done ? What improvements you noticed ?

Cheers

not got the manifold and ecu yet. the filter housing is quite big so i dont see why you cant fit different filter in there

im thinking the heatshield will have a neck on it that the inlet pipe clamps onto from the outside, how does the neck of the foam filter attatch to the hole in heatshield and therefore allow air in from the pipe ?

the neck of the filter goes through the outer casing. a hose clip keeps it secure and then the hose fits onto the filter neck.

just the induction roar, have been told that the k&n cone filters are loudest ? dunno if its true, but thats what ive been told ?
