Hillpower Induction Elbow

I'm getting a Viper this week and have heard that the standard elbow with it is fairly restrictive.

Seen quite a few have been replaced with hillpower jobbies.........is this def recommended?

for 56£ tho, there are quite pricey...And a bit soft imo...Samco for 17£ will do if your not bothered about the crank case breather.

could you explain a bit more about this please??

£17 does sound a bit more reasonable......... by not having the crank case breather will it make significant differences??

and have you got the fitment please for the samco one, sizes etc?

I believe you can but £50 for something that looks nice and makes very little if any difference in performance seems a lot to me.

is it a 90 degree elbow and if so, what mm would i need........cheers

Dude, got my 90' elbow from forge motorsport - was about 20 quid delivered (they have a web site). You'll need a 70mm internal diameter and you may need to cut it depending on what type of IK you're fitting.

the diameter of the throttle thing in the side of the engine is 70mm - don't know for sure what the diameter of the viper is but would guess that its the same. the elbow is easy to cut but you'll need to get a couple of those twist up clamp things (sorry - mental block)!

Dan - Thats the one. If you're getting if from DemonTweeks you might as well look for a breather filter too. Shouldn't have to pay more that 8 quid.
