hit and run

my car recentley got hit and they didnt stop any body know how i can get details of owner i have number plate yh53yjb and its on cctv
model of car is toyota corral and colur is green

yaeh they are but they said it will take six months
and i want to see if he wants to sort it out with out insurance

that will take 14 days i know he live some where local because it happened it a pub car park and the pubs a local one if you know what i mean

he had the cheek to get out have a look then drive of aswell got a witness cctv so when they find him hes had it

If it was me I would lay in wait in the pub carpark with a large bat and face mask ;)

yeah keep a look out at the pub if its a local one he should be back or go in and ask about.

Police should get in touch with the owners pretty much straight away. I was in a hit and run! I reported it, and within 4 hours I had the guy round my house saying sorry.

If it's on private land they don't have to do anything do they? Shitty thing to do, but I'm sure you don't have to leave details on private land. I might be wrong though.

Breaking the law is breaking the law. Doesnt matter private land or not.

i was not in the car park so i was not on private land i was parked on the street opposit and it was not on double yellows or anything it was fine to park there police have sent documents to the guy but i want it sorting really before trax

That's good then. Although I could well be wrong about the private land shizzle anyway. Just something I heard years ago.

How is it breaking the law, if the law says you don't have to leave details?

It is breaking the law, failing to report an accident and leaving the scene, which carrys a max of 6 months.
