Now, firstly I need to ask you a question. I've noticed more and more that my car is really raspy when accelerating hard between about 2k-3k, now I love it! Think it sounds wicked, was actually boasting about it to my bro :clown:
But... as time goes on, I think it might not actually meant to sound like that lol :dapprove: so does anyone else get this?
I know there's definitely something wrong with the center section on my car cause it rattles like f**k. I got underneath it and held something against it and the rattling and it stopped, I tired tightening it up but didn't have much time and didn't really do it very well.
Another thing... as part of my job, we sell exhaust testing machines, so I chucked mine on today. It failed. Now I found the print out of when I bought the car (one month ago) and everything is fine on it, but today the CO was five times over what it should be! Now, I guess, the garage could of just blagged it and put the probe up any old exhaust just to get it to pass :quiet:
My boss just said that my CAT wasn't working. So, on this point, could the dodgy center section be effecting this? Also the rasping sound from the exhaust? (it's standard btw) and... how much would a new CAT cost me!? My boss said something along the lines of because my engine isn't built into the testing machine (for some reason!?) they would just put it down as a non-CAT car and it wouldn't need to pass that test. I know he's my boss, but, I don't believe that is true? Otherwise everyone would be de-CATing all over the place surely lol!
Any light shone on these issues mucho appreciated
