Hmmm, Ashamed but pleased

  RB 182
In april, i had abit of a mad moment and did 59mph in a 30, dual carriageway out of town etc but hell im not condoning it. Came face to face with a mobile speed van, boot lid up, bam got flashed.

So, i get a letter through saying blah blah due to the speed this needs to be delt with in court, and a court summons will follow. Now, i was looking at lots of points and a huge fine, and it definatley has slowed me down.

Yesterday though, i got a letter saying its been reviewed by the crown prosecution service and no further action will be taken? Now if id have been doing say 35, id have got a straight 3 points and a £60 fine, but doing 59 they decide not to do me?

Im obviously a very very lucky boy, but on the other hand, in a way it doesnt feel fair?

** For the record, im in no way bragging, it has slowed me down, and im definately not pleased with what i did, im simply voicing my opinion on the SCP **

Very lucky something must have been dodgy with the camera van or summit cos i cant see them just passing on an easy prosecution

Why though? :/ Just doesn't make sense.

Lucky boy. I was flashed by a speed camera doing 36mph last year, but managed to get on the Speed Awareness training course (which cost £72) instead of receiving the three points on my licence.

It doesnt does it? I was even contemplating taking a ban instead of the points, as its 7 for that sort of speed isnt it?

Im on 8 lives, but i intend to keep them all!

30mph over any speedlimit is a straight ban usually. closer you get to that 30, the more points you get.

I sent my NIP back about 2 months ago and haven't heard a thing! I reckon it will come just as I'm forgetting about it. 'Alleged' incident was start of June
