Holding at 3000RPM

On my drive back, the old girl started to jerk. When i dipped the clutch, the revs raised to 3000rpm and stayed there again until the clutch was released.

However once the clutch was released and i tried to accelerate, it took a long time for the car to respond.

Its a 1.2 16v dynamique. I was wondering if anyone had any idea what might be happening?

I had the same problem a month or so back. I had the little heart beat light on as well. Disconnecting the battery and refitting it fixed mine

mine did the same, turned out the gears in the throttle body chewed themselves to bits. not sure if it would be the same on the 1.2
