Home security system

I'm on a mission, to find a good security system. Ideally it needs the following:

  • Burglar alarm with a number of zones which can be turned off and on easily

  • Webcam that has a number of cameras for outside and maybe inside that records on the computer but also allows you to see say 4 cameras at once.

  • Webcams can be monitored online from anywhere in world

  • Records when there is a break in if inside with cameras

  • Is recognised by insurance companies

Any ideas on companies that fit, or DIY packs that are half decent?

Although with the chavs that are breeding around here, we both might need this set up soon.

How about this:

basic alarm using PIRs
completely wireless
has a camera and infrared for night vision upto 40ft
pet immune
4 possible zones with delay for entry/exit
records 10 seconds of video every time it detects anything
uses GPRS to send said video to a monitoring station where it is checked for alarm/false alarm etc
4 year battery life per item (based on 2 alarms per month)

upto 24 devices per control panel that include
internal pir
external pir
smoke detector
indoor siren
outdoor siren with strobe
keyfob for arming/disarming
badge reader for arming/disarming
door contact

however it is NOT CCTV and will not record unless it is set off.

Sounds like it does most things, what about web access to video files?

Where are the video / alarm files stored? PC?

How much, have a link?
