But how would you fit that to an aux plug as supplied by mtaudio for example. They have the male end but so does that socket.

you need a female to female aux adapter.

that aux socket looks to be from a vw golf , and probs tied into the mt audio adapter kit vai the female adapters

Just take the jack off the ends of each wire, strip them back and join them with a block, its only cheap audio cable.

What he said. I got the aux socket from somewhere (can't remember where) and simply joined it up with the audio cable from the MT audio thingy.

I dont take pics of it installed unfortunately, but looks oem and has plenty of thread to mount to thicker panels.
