How can i make my car loud, cheaply?

i have a renault clio 1.2 54 plate, it is my 1st car and i wish to make the engine louder, with a bit more 'umph' to it, but as cheap as possible.

put some cem-tex up the exhaust, rev the living daylights out of it and hope it does bang, not sure what you'll have left over after though, however, i guarantee it will be loud

remove the airbox and leave it dangerously floating about in the engine bay, i used to do that years and years ago in my first 1.2 clio, sounded mint, all my mates who worked in macyd's said they could hear me drive through the car park from inside, true story

Look under your car, where the exhaust meets the manifold... Or catalytic converter, I'm not sure how many cats these have... And disconnect the join I removed my girlfriends exhaust from here the other day and it sounded immense! She hated it though ha... I'll post a vid some time

Luckily she was round the corner from my house, so off I went and cable tied it up so she could drive round to my house where I removed the whole system... Wasn't gonna let her drive more than 20 feet with a cable tied exhaust.
