How cool are Ipods?

Never really worried about them in the past. However, today I collected my 2GB nano from the Post Office - it came free with my Samsung P300 mobile phone so I'd be a knob not to have a go right?

Its just...COOL

Much much better sound quality than I expected too. Actually the SQ is fantastic

And finally I can see why iTunes actually has a point

I'm so impressed I might get a full sized one too

PS. Could a mod please retype the tilte for me?

I tunes sucks big hairy boaby lol it infuriates me! Ipods are cool though, alternative software e.g. anopod is far superior in terms of use IMO drag and drop etc. no waiting for it to load up etc.

^^^^ - like most software, i-Tunes just takes a while to get used to. For the life of me, I can't understand why they dick about with Playlists and custom playlists, etc - much like WMP. WMP is a great tool, but for crying out loud, they've made it overly complicated. Options like Queue-it-up and the Playlists function mentioned above are just too fussy. Select, port across, play. Or select and play - as simple as that.

The class leader on pointlessness has to go to Vertias Backup Exec. 1,200+ pages of userguides to allow you to backup. Mmmm. What do I want to backup? Where too? And how often? I make that 3 pages tops...

I had never really like iTunes but it makes sense now.

My biggest problem with itunes was when it defaulted to 'let itunes organise my music for me' - music went all over the show! Compilations scattered etc. Thankfully I had a backup of my entire collection so was able to delete them and start over.
Biggest problem I have now is that it takes itunes about 3mins before it realises my ipod is connected and then updates. Not sure whats up there!

i switched from i tunes cos it was sooooooooooo slow.

use anapod explorer, much faster, and doesnt dick about with your collection

Ipods are the class leader for a reason...they are the best.
I love i tunes too....but i use it on osx.. The pc version isnt as good.

iTunes is mint in Windows, and even better in OSX, IMO.

I really like it - infact, it helped my decision a bit more to go Mac

Just do a soft reset, hold the middle button and play I think it is until it comes back on! Might be middle and menu, check the manual.

i dont like i tunes but then i dont really like ipods. Yes their easy to use ect but then you pay alot for the name and the break very easyely going by my mates ipodes. Thats why i have a Sony Walkman. Ok you think Itunes is bad try the Connect s/w by far it is the WORST music s/w i have ever used.

i have a creative zen sleek photo. it's 20gb and im well chuffed with it. shame they dont have an online store though. but i use hmv digital. it's quite similar to itunes.
