Are you bothered about damaging the plate?

Look for an 1/8 piece drill use that.

I had them on mine when I bought the car, I used a pair of pliers and just yanked like crazy to get it off, the plate was in several pieces once I'd finished though.

I had new plates to put on mine though so I wasn't fussed about trashing the old ones.
