how do you adjust the handbrake?

just wondering how to adjust the hand brake as my car will be on the ramps this week end anyway as i am fitting my new exhaust

much easier with the exhaust off, its under one of the heat shields. iirc its two 10mm nuts

Take the heat shield off above the centre section, its right in the middle, its held on by 4 very tight torx screws. Once the heatshield is off you will see an adjusting nut on the cables.

I had to use my powered torque wrench to get the screws off, they were very tight for some reason.

Mk2ph1s were the best as they had the nut on the back of the handbrake lever.

actually its only 1 nut you adjust to tighten it up, i recommend a deep 10mm socket, not the normal depth one. and you only need to undo half the heatshield one side and just bend it down (torx)
