How do you clean a headlight bulb?

well basicly took it out to fix the lamp and accidentally touched it, also noticed theres a bit of dust on them, they are xenon bulbs too

IIRC its with thinners or white spirit.. could be wrong though..

This is a serious answer.

Halogen bulbs have a quartz envelope, not glass like an old-style incandescent globes. You can clean them with a gentle solvent loke alcohol. Isoropyl alcohol cleaning pads are readily available for lots of uses, like cleaning computer equipment.
