How do you find out what generation your iPod is?

As above, ive bought an iPod but i want to find out what generation it is.

Count how many rings it has ? oh no wait thats tree's..

Can you tell us what size hdd, is it a colour screen etc .. more details on your ipod would be handy.

I've got 4 iPods

It is a Gen 1 Nano as they did the 2GB in black dont forget. If it was black the Gen 2 only do the black in 8GB I think fella.
