Restore laptop back to factory settings?

Iv picked up a trojam and its seriously fucked my laptop up, cant do system restore or nothing as it comes up as win32 error etc, i havnt connected it back onto the net just incase it gets worse,

so how do i go round to tacking it back to factory settings? Its a dell studio 17 if that helpa

do you have the os disc?

The only discs i have is:

operation system (says.. Windows vitsa home premium onit)
drivers and utilities
applications
& applications dell webcam.

To restore Windows, press F8 before Windows loads, and from the menu choose Repair and then "factory image".

Taken from the Dell website forum.

Don't have one myself so can't check it for you.

Nope dont get that atall, but im trying repair mode, screen just keeps coming up with a load ov trojams each time ffs,

You need to skip forward on the pdf to page 52, it does say hit F8 as soon as the computer starts.

Ye cheers james, its done now hopefully it will have sorted those little viruses/trojams out, just have to set everything back up now great ffs

i was going to say if you go onto dell website and enter your "build number" itll list all the drivers etc you will need.

problem is its a gay colour

my laptop is ace, had to be different so got it in green

ye all sorted now, just need to find a good anti virus software that will do everything for Free
