How does this work out?

  Engles Mummy
My 1/4 mile time -

14.8 @ 96.19mph

Dave clio2 mile time - (hope you don't mind me using you m8)

Red 172 14.667 @ 91.86

How come he got a 14.6 but at 91.86, and i got two hundreds of a second slower them him but crossed the line at 96.19.

Reaction time or? I just dont get it lol

Someone please explain for me!

Thanks, Adam

i think it has something to do with the cars . lol

:D no i mean they are both not constant accelerations , 1 may have a bigger acceleration rate in mid range than the other , or possibly lower down , take a bit of time to kick in even .

DOES THAT MAKE SENSE ????????? LOL

Nout to do with reaction time because the timer starts when you cross the beam!!!! Most likely better inital traction. Check 60ft times.

Let's use a very basic example.

Person A has:
A car with 500 bhp but a big turbo and a lot of lag

Person B has:
A car with 250 bhp

Person B gets a 60 ft time of 2.1 but person A only gets a 60 ft time of 2.8 (he's crap at launching lol). Person B already has a 0.7 advantage at 60 ft.

However, Person A's turbo spools up when Person B's car runs out of puff so Person A does the second half of the 1/4 mile much quicker than Person B.

Therefore they may well cross the line at the same time, but Person A will have a much higher terminal.

Shitty example, I'm sure but makes sense to me!!

yeah it`s all in the start. Dave will have got a good start but by the time you are crossing the line you would have benn catching him up
